Lightening up the face. I use four bright daylight bulbs (it was too windy to paint outside today) which create a great light to paint in. The only problem is that when I look at the painting with normal indoor light, it looks really dark - all the subtleties dissapear into the shadows. Makes me think about painting for the lighting in the space the painting will eventually hang.
