The Good Land - progress 3

Unsure where to continue, I decided to take on the scarf, starting with the darkest colours (as always) I roughed in the shades first with pure Cadmium red, rubbing the dry brush with the paint harder where there was to be more colour. From a distance it looked acceptable but I decided to re-paint the whole scarf 'properly' - actually mixing the desired shades using black and red for much smoother gradients. I realised also yesterday that I don't like apparent brushstrokes. Well, not for this painting anyway!
My studio attic was noticeably colder today which was refreshing. Makes me wonder though when I'll be painting with gloves. I managed to get connected to my wireless internet too which meant I had musical company from fun radio.
